Advantages of a felt roof
A felt roof is the most affordable roof renovation option. It is quick to install — a typical detached house roof is completed in 2–3 days. A felt roof is watertight and particularly well suited for flat roofs and low roof pitches, where water does not drain by gravity as effectively as on steep roofs.
Felt roof renovation pricing
The price of a felt roof renovation is typically 35–55 €/m². Modern rubber bitumen membrane is slightly more expensive than traditional bitumen felt but considerably more durable. The price is affected by roof size, number of layers, and substrate condition.

Felt roof maintenance
A felt roof requires regular inspection, particularly of seams and penetrations. We recommend an inspection every 5 years. Minor damage can be repaired locally without replacing the entire roof.
